When you release people who need to be in a Mental Facilities, society is in dangerous. Back in the 70’s & 80’s when you were Mentally Ill people were placed in facilities to keep them save from themselves and other. Then most of these facilities were closed and the people who lived in those facilities either moved in with family members lived by themselves. For the most part they have been left on their own. Many have stopping taking their medications and living on the street. Mental Illness is a very large problem in this country that can not be fixed just by throwing money at the issue. The way we are treating these mentally ill and people who are addicted to Alcohol and drugs, borders on cruelty. There are people who suffer from all three issues. Just walk down the street where the homeless live and you will see people who are very sick that need help. We send billions of dollars all over this world. It is time we take care of these people. By allowing this to continue, we will continue to hear of these stories. People who are mentally ill and those who self medicate don’t choose this. They need help and it is time for these State and the Federal Government do something about this. Each life is precious and these people who were attach certainly did not deserve what happen to them. I hope those who were stabbed and survived make a full recovery. For the two people who died may they Rest in Peace.
